The perfect name for your character is already in use by someone else, but they are not active anymore? You can now free up an inactive character’s name with this service!
This service allows you to claim a name that is currently held by an old, inactive character. The inactive character will be renamed with a randomly generated name, freeing up the desired name for your use.

Example:

• You want your character “mycharacterName” to have the name “lockedName”.
• The inactive character currently named “lockedName” will be automatically renamed with a random name.
• Your character “mycharacterName” will then be renamed to “lockedName”.

Note: you can’t unlock a character’s name if the character account has a subscription.
