Dear Time Travellers,
Since the start of Chromiecraft, we have always incentivised levelling in Battlegrounds as a fun alternative to classic questing and RDF, with perks such as:
- Boosted XP in Battlegrounds
- BG queue announcer and recurring server announcements
- easier access to (blizzlike) low-level PvP vendors
Despite this effort, we noticed that a big part of the population still does not know about the possibility of joining Battlegrounds and continuing to level from level 10 onwards.
We have also noticed an interesting fact: every time some levellers discovered this possibility, they would queue, have fun, and keep queuing…
This gave us an idea: automated Battleground Events for all levellers! The point is simple: by gathering enough people at once, the Battleground actually pops, and you get a real full match, instead of waiting forever in an empty queue.

How to opt out
First of all, let me be clear about one thing: this feature is completely optional. Are you not interested at all? Simply type .bgevents off and you won’t be bothered. Forever.
How do the events work
Every so often, the server runs a Battleground event. When an event fires, every leveller (level 10 to 79) who’s eligible is automatically put into the queue for a Battleground, all at the same time.
You don’t have to do anything to take part: you’re opted in by default.
If you get queued automatically and do not want to join the Battleground, that’s fine. You can decline the invite. Our queue system will automatically rebalance the teams.
Don’t want to be bothered for a period (or ever again) with invites? Type .bgevents off. Want to opt in again? Type .bgevents on. Maximum flexibility.
Note that opting out only affects future events; it won’t pull you out of a queue you’re already in.
